Truth Nugget: Walking In A Place Of Transition and Change

It takes a lot of courage to change. Change can be painful. It takes a choice of your will and faith to step into the unknown. Your belief system can certainly be a hindrance to moving forward into the unknown; such as, feeling, thinking or saying something like, “I am afraid I’ll fail or look stupid””; I don’t know what I’m doing, yet I should do this perfectly”. Sometimes it is an obedient step in serving the Lord. Sometimes life circumstances just happen which forces you into change. That can be especially scary and hard when you cannot see a clear path. Whichever turn it takes, this step requires courage and faith. It may all be risky, but He will provide more of His grace, mercy and love for you as you move forward. An example of this is when Jesus died and left His disciples; and their whole vision of life and hope was gone right before their eyes and hearts. They wept and grieved, and were afraid and felt guilty, yet they departed to go to the Upper Room and they waited on the Holy Spirit as He instructed them; and their sorrows turned into overflowing joy (Heb. 16:20-24; John 18:17; Acts 2:27, 46-47). That is a good first step - - to wait on the leading of the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 13:5b “…I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake…you…[Assuredly not!].” AMPC (This insight is per a conversation with friends Kim Gould and Jenny Strohmeyer.)
