Truth Nugget: Tearing Down The Hostile Wall

Ephesians 2:14-16 “…He has broken down the hostile dividing wall…. and reconciled us back to God the Father...by abolishing the enmity through the cross.”

What is the hostile wall? Where do you begin? The Hostile Wall is the BIG COVER-UP that prevents you from honestly dealing with your pain in relationships. It is built and held together by guilt and shame. One of those hostile places in the wall could be… an ungodly belief you have held on to and embraced into your heart for so long that it feels like truth; such as, “I am not worthy and just not loveable”, BUT in reality it brings bondage and destruction to your life because it is a lie. You can tell when there is a hostile wall because you feel stuck and can’t seem to move past it to the other side. Identify and admit to yourself ONE BELIEF that is keeping you from moving forward. Then take another valuable step by telling a person you trust that helps bring it into the light (James 5:16). IF you cry out to Him, your heart will begin to open to Him…and He hears the cry of your heart and will answer (Ps. 34:4). Then…let go and release to Him – let go and release to Him. DON’T GIVE UP! Prayer: Father, forgive me for holding on to this ungodly believe. Break down my hostile wall and cause me to let go and receive your loving kindness and peace. In Jesus Christ, the Anointed Messiah…Amen
